What's the difference between dot-matrix and plate-printing?

Dot-matrix is a very basic style of printing using only alphanumeric characters, no graphics.  The main advantage in choosing dot-matrix is lower investment upfront.  Flexo, or plate printing, is a style suited for graphics and logos, custom text, and color print. The finished product is better for corporate or organization branding, or stylized messages.  Flagging is narrow, between 1 and 2 inches in width.  Highland also custom manufactures a wider version which is considered barricade tape or caution tape.
