All Glowed Up

GLO colors are super popular but are they always the best choice?

Are they brighter? Yes, in low-light settings. Below you can see them side by side in the photo and judge for yourself. The GLO films are on the outside, and the traditional films are the two inside.

GLO color films are made of PVC vinyl which has tremendously different characteristics than our other films which are made from LDPE polythylene.

PVC vinyl becomes brittle in cold temperatures, but soft in hot temperatures. PVC films have a lower scratch resistance and lower tensile strength making them stretch under tension. PVC vinyl films are commonly affected by external factors like temperature and abrasion. GLO colors also have a taffeta texture causing them to roll up thicker. That means less per roll. It’s a much more expensive material than PE.
