What's the difference between dot-matrix and plate-printing?  Dot-matrix is a very basic style of printing using only alphanumeric characters, no graphics.  The main advantage is there are no additional up-front costs associated with custom printing plates.  Flexo plate printing is a style of print suited for graphics and logos, custom text, and color print.  It's a litlle more expensive up front but the finished product looks very professional and stylish.
